Chechnya wants to eliminate its gay community 'by the end of next month'

Chechnya has denied that gay people exist in the predominantly Muslim region.
“If there were such people in Chechnya, law enforcement agencies wouldn’t need to have anything to do with them because their relatives would send them somewhere from which there is no returning,” a spokesman said.

Whether or not the Chechyan government does pursue this policy, it is clear that gay men and women have lost any human or civil rights.
